MRHFL was established in April 2007 as a Housing Finance Company (Non-public deposit taking / accepting company). MRHFL is registered with the National Housing Bank. As a pioneer in the rural housing finance business in India, the Company leverages its understanding and experience of rural markets, by providing housing loans to untapped semi-urban and rural segments.

Amar joined the Mahindra Group in May 2023 as Executive Vice President - Group Strategy. Amar is a member of the Group Executive Board. In his current role, he is leading the Group Strategy Office and works with the Group’s overall portfolio of businesses for growth over the short and long-term. Amar is also responsible for overseeing the groups’ investor relations function. Amar has recently taken over as the Group Chief Financial Officer w.e.f. 17th May.
Prior to joining Mahindra, Amar was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Oilfield Services & Equipment (OFSE) segment of Baker Hughes.
Prior to Baker Hughes, Amar held multiple roles at General Electric Co. (GE) over the course of 20+ years. Amar was the CFO for GE’s Power Conversion business. He also was the CFO for GE Mining, Financial Planning & Analysis Leader for GE in India and Executive Audit Manager at GE’s Corporate Audit Staff. Amar was promoted to GE company officer in 2019.
During his 25-year professional career, Amar has lived and worked in over 10 countries. He is a recipient of several recognitions including GE Board Simplification award, GE India President’s award, GE Chairman Award, and an Achievers award in Corporate Excellence from one of the leading Media groups in the Northeast of India in 2023. Amar is also actively engaged in supporting a not-for-profit charitable institution for supporting aged women called “Seneh”.
Amar holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA from a leading business school in India.
Mr. Jyotin Mehta is a versatile finance and GRC professional with excellent academic credentials. Mr. Jyotin Mehta has held leadership positions in Tata, ICICI and Shell group of companies. He has a rich experience of 35 plus years in the areas of corporate finance, Internal Audit, corporate governance, risk and controls, Company law and legal and regulatory compliance, and customer service.
Dr. Narendra Mairpady is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. Having 39 years of banking experience, Dr. M. Narendra joined Corporation Bank as an officer trainee in 1975. He took over as Executive Director, Bank of India, on 6th November 2008 and was Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Overseas Bank from 1st November, 2010 till 31st July, 2014.
Ms. Smita Mankad has three decades of experience spanning the corporate, social and government sectors, and further, a combination of both grassroots level work and board level governance – unique combinations that give her an unparalleled perspective on both policy and implementation. An Independent Woman Director on top level corporate boards, and an independent consultant to retail, social and craft enterprises offering business planning support to ensure sustainability, where she aims to combine commercial impact with social impact – her area of interest, passion and experience. Ms. Smita Mankad currently serves as Independent Woman Director on the Boards of Fabindia Limited, Mahindra Heavy Engines Ltd. (MHEL), Mahindra Waste to Energy Pvt. Ltd., Swaraj Engines Ltd., Imperial Auto Ltd. and DSP India International Financial Service Centre. She is also on the Boards of the Women on Wings Foundation in the Netherlands and India; WOW is an Indo-Dutch organization whose aim is to create 1 million jobs for women in rural India, and TARSHI, an NGO which works on creating safe spaces for young people. She has served on the Boards of Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturing Ltd. till its merger into M&M, Mahindra Renewables (solar), Mahindra Auto Steel Ltd., and Compact India Pvt. Ltd., a company in the area of international humanitarian aid producing rescue food for severely malnourished children. An Economics (Hons) graduate from Lady Shriram College for Women (1989-92) Delhi University, and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (1992-94) Mumbai University, India, she started her career with TATA Motors in export finance, and after 6 years with ABN AMRO Bank in corporate banking product management, moved to Fabindia where she has spent 12 years across various divisions including international business, retail operations and setting up new stores, launching the personal care range, creating systems processes and internal audits, and thereafter managing the Fabindia’s entire sourcing and supply chain its wholly owned subsidiary Artisans Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd. (AMFPL), of which she was Managing Director from 2008 to 2013. She also worked with ORGANIC INDIA from 2013 – 15 on their nutrition, preventive healthcare and wellness enterprise. Ms. Smita Mankad was awarded the Vedica Women’s Alliance V-WA 50 Award for excellence in Marketing & Sales in 2021, and the Social Innovation Award by the Women Mentors Forum in 2023. She has also been profiled in the book ‘She Is’ - a compilation of women advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in India - for her work with SDG 10 ‘Reduced Inequalities’. Smita was awarded the prestigious Chevening Research, Science and Innovation Program (CRISP) Fellowship of the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and spent the summer of 2022 at St. Cross College, University of Oxford, exploring systems change solutions to the issue of livelihoods, particularly for rural women; and looking to take the Creative Dignity model of volunteer based collaboration global.
Mr. Vivek Karve is a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Mumbai (1991), a Chartered Accountant (1994) and a Cost Accountant (1993). He has more than 25 years of experience in Finance, Banking, and IT across four organizations - Marico, Siemens Information Systems, ICICI and P&G.
Mr. Vivek Karve’s last role as Group CFO of Marico covered Corporate Finance, Secretarial, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Business Finance and Commercial for Marico Group. He also leads Marico’s M&A initiatives.
Mr. Vivek Karve joined Marico in 2000, as a Manager in Corporate Finance. He took over the charge as CFO of Marico Limited effective 1st April 2014. He made significant contributions in the areas of performance management, investors relations, risk management, governance and controls.
He also played an active role in Marico's Merger and Acquisition efforts through due diligence, deal structuring, funding etc.
Mr. Vivek Karve has recently joined as the Chief Financial Officer of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited.
Mr. Vivek Karve has served as a member on FICCI's Corporate Finance Committee. He is currently a member of FICCI’s CFO Conclave.
Mr. Shantanu Rege is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Rural Housing Finance. He joined the Mahindra Group in 2012 as an Executive Assistant to the Group Chairman, Mr. Anand Mahindra. In 2016, he joined the rural housing finance business as the Chief Operating Officer, which focused on catering to the bottom of the pyramid. Prior to joining Mahindra, Shantanu has worked in management consulting with McKinsey & Co. and private equity with Blackstone in Mumbai. He holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts and has completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2006. A passionate Indophile, Shantanu has wide interests spanning across design, education, economics and politics.
